Strong Families Build Strong Schools

Partnering with families, empowering communities, refocusing on educating children. Never underestimate the love a parent has for their children.

La Center School District stands firmly with parents. We respectfully disagree with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction in their findings with the La Center School District. We will continue to advocate for policies that respect families, uphold constitutional protections, and ensure parents remain central in decisions affecting their children’s well-being.

A recent Finnish study confirms the earlier finding from the UK that suicides remain uncommon events in gender-dysphoric youth, regardless of gender transition status: https://segm.org/Suicide-Gender-Dysphoric-Adolescent-Young-Adult-Finland-2024

The Cass review states clearly that while young people with mental-health issues, including those with gender dysphoria, face elevated suicide risk compared with the healthy population, suicides remain “very rare” (pages 186–187):

Last weekend the LCHS Leo's attended the Spring convention. They helped run games and attended sessions during the conference. They learned about how they recruit new members collaborating with the North Kitsap Club on how they recruit. Additionally, they learned how go from being a Leo into being a Lion and continuing their work in community service into a lifetime habit. Students came back with a lot of ideas. In attendance at the convention were: Caiden Pelcha, Katie Marston, Brian Brito, Jon Ward (Friday only), Logan Brett (Saturday) and Olivia West (Saturday).
